NCWEB Delhi University PG Admission 2018 – Non Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB), University of Delhi has released notification for the eligible candidates for admission into Post Graduate Courses for the Academic year 2018-2019

DU NCWEB PG Admission 2018

  • The applicants who wish to be considered for admission in Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB) can opt for the same at the time of registration and no separate registration with NCWEB is required
  • Only women candidates residing in NCT Delhi will be eligible for admission to PG courses of NCWEB, University of Delhi. A residence proof in the name of the applicant would be required at the time of the admission. It can be an Aadhaar Card, Voter Id, Passport, Driving License or Ration Card

Courses Offered

  • Teaching arrangement for M.A./M.Sc. in Mathematics, M.A. in English, Hindi, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Bengali, Sanskrit, Urdu, Punjabi, Arabic and Persian will be made, provided there are at least ten students in that subject, attending the classes

Duration

  • Duration of Course is 2 years (Span period – 4 years)

Eligibility Criteria

  • M.A./M.Sc. – Bachelor’s degree in any subject and has studied at least 3 courses each of one year duration or 6 courses each of one semester duration in Mathematics.

Age Limit

  • As per Ordinance-I of the University, there is no minimum age bar for admission to the under-graduate and postgraduate courses in the University and its colleges except in the courses where the respective regulatory bodies, such as Medical Council of India (MCI), All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), Bar Council of India (BCI), National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE), Dental Council of India (DCI), etc. have prescribed the minimum age requirement in their regulations

  • The minimum eligibility requirements for candidates seeking admission to PG courses in Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board will be same as are applicable in the case of regular students

  • M.A. in Hindi: Total Seats – 112 [50% Seats for Direct Category – Total Seats: 56& 50% Seats for through Entrance: 56 Seats]
  • M.A. in English: Total Seats – 112 [50% Seats for Direct Category – Total Seats: 56 & 50% Seats for through Entrance: 56 Seats]
  • M.A. in Punjabi: Total Seats – 112 [50% Seats for Direct Category – Total Seats: 56 & 50% Seats for through Entrance: 56 Seats]

Admission Procedure

  • In all the Faculties/Departments, except the ones offering inter-disciplinary or professional courses, there are two modes of admission for postgraduate courses:

Merit or Direct

  • 50% of the total intake shall be filled by direct admission of the students of the University of Delhi only, on the basis of merit. This mode is not available to students from other Universities.

Entrance

  • Remaining 50% of the seats shall be filled through entrance examination and Interview/Group Discussion, if any.
  • It may again be noted that all the applicants seeking admission to the postgraduate courses are required to register online, irrespective of the mode of intake.
  • Applicants can choose to apply in these two modes under the following three options: (a) Merit only, (b) Entrance only, or (c) Merit + Entrance
  • All the registered applicants must update the information regarding qualifying exametc. on the PG Admission Portal using their registered email id and passwords. The PG Admission Portal shall reopen for this purpose again. Applicants’ are requested to keep checking the University website for further details related with the dates of portal re-opening etc.
  • Both the “Merit” and “Entrance” lists (wherever applicable) shall be announced together, for all the categories. The allotment of seats (category-wise) in the Admission List is based on the rank of the applicant and the availability of seats in departments/colleges, both in “Entrance” and “Merit” modes

Application Form

  • Application forms will be made available for the admission for PG courses as per the schedule. Candidate must ensure that they fulfil the eligibility requirements and all other conditions laid down for the course they apply

Application Fee

  • The expected application fee is provided as under:
  • SC/ST and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) Rs. 250/
  • For all other categories (Unreserved, OBC etc.) Rs. 500/-
