Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR), Jaipur has invited applications for admission to Master of Public Health (MPH) Course of Academic Year 2017-18.
The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (JHSPH) (USA), will offer its Master of Public Health (MPH) Degree Programme in Jaipur, India, in cooperation with the Indian Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR)
Master of Public Health (MPH) Course offered by (i) Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (JHSPH) (USA) with (ii) IIHMR University, Jaipur (India)
The Master of Public Health Degree Program is two-years long. The coursework includes on-campus and online classes, a capstone exercise, and a practicum experience, all cumulatively totaling 80 credits. On-campus courses will begin at IIHMR Jaipur
The Students will travel to Baltimore, Maryland, for a 2-week winter session at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, USA. The MPH Program 2017-19 (cohort-5) will commence in October 2017
The Programme combines the JHSPH’s excellence in Public Health education with the IIHMR’s expertise in Health Management Research in South Asia. These strengths are clearly visible in the design of this exciting programme
The full-time Master of Public Health degree program will consist of 1 year of didactic coursework plus 1 year of practical training
The candidates interested in the MPH programme should meet the following eligibility criteria:
Must possess a Bachelors degree
Should have taken prior courses in subjects such as mathematics and biology
English proficiency in written and verbal communication (Should have either taken TOEFL* or had studied in college with English as primary language (TOEFL may be waived)
Standardized test scores- Official scores from one of the following tests are required of all MPH applicants: GRE, MCAT, GMAT, or LSAT.* (The standardized test score may be waived for applicants possessing degrees beyond the baccalaureate level and M.B.B.S graduates; however, quantitative skills must be demonstrated from the transcripts or prior professional work)
A minimum of two years of full-time health-related work experience beyond the bachelor’s/master’s degree (unless the applicant has earned a doctoral degree, e.g. PhD or medical degree like MBBS)
Applicants seeking admission to the MPH Program must go through a prescreening process, and need to be pre-approved by IIHMR before they apply. Applicants who wish to apply for the MPH program should follow the steps given below:
Step 1: Candidate should download a pre-screening questionnaire from www.mph.iihmr.edu.in and send the completely filled pre-screening questionnaire along with updated CV/resume to [email protected] by 31st May 2017
Step 2: A confirmation mail will be sent to each candidate after receipt of the materials in STEP-1. After pre-approval for the application is given through an email from the IIHMR University, the candidate will receive another email from the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health (JHSPH) with an invitation to complete the online MPH application through SOPHAS (Schools of Public Health Application System) http://sophas.org/program-finder/
In order to be considered for admission, completed applications (including payment of the US $ 135 application fee and a fully submitted application) should be received by 01st July 2017
