GB Pant Institute of Technology AAEE Admission 2018 – Automotive Mechatronics Research Centre(AMRC), GB Pant Institute of Technology, Okhla Phase-3, New Delhi applications have been invited for admission full time Advanced Diploma in Automotive Mechatronics (ADAM) in collaboration with Mercedes Benz India Limited through ADAM Entrance Examination 2018

ADAM Details

  • The Advanced Diploma in Automotive Mechatronics is an one year course with 4 modules – Mechanical, Electronics, Vehicle Systems and Soft Skills

Mechanical Module

  • Engine – various modern engines and its functions; Transmissions, Chassis systems; Maintenance & Servicing of Modern Vehicle; Introduction to Workshop Information System (WIS); PDI & servicing – Preparation of work plan using maintenance checklist Quality services, etc.

Electronics Module

  • Basic Electrics; Wiring Diagram – symbols & designation of electrical components; Sockets & pin diagrams; Reading of wiring diagram; Basic Electronics; Principle & applications of sensors; Digital Electronics; Basics of CAN bus networking of control units using CAN bus; Location of CAN voltage distributor; Interior & Exterior CAN

Duration

  • The ADAM Course shall be of one academic year duration and shall cover following focus areas:
    • Modern Automobile Technology
    • Soft skills such as written and oral communication and behavioural skills

Intake Capacity

  • The annual batch size/intake capacity is 20 students including five seats reserved forMBIL dealer nominees, sponsored and approved by MBIL

 

Eligibility Criteria

  • The minimum eligibility of the candidates for seeking admission in ADAM is
  • a pass in 3 years diploma (2 years for lateral entry / direct second year) in Electrical /Mechanical / Electronics / Automobile Engineering, Mechatronics, Applied Electronics or equivalent
  • a pass in Engineering Degree (B. Tech / BE) in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics /Automobile Engineering, Mechatronics, Applied Electronics or equivalent
  • Those appeared for qualifying examination (B. Tech / BE / Diploma) in 2018, without live back papers, are also eligible to apply. However, their admission will be subjected to submission of proof of having acquired minimum qualification at the time of counselling

Industrial Training

  • Provision of 4 to 12 weeks of industrial training / dealer in-house training has been kept as an integral part of the curriculum. The students shall be trained at dealership network in Delhi / NCR, with the approval from MBIL / respective dealer

 

ADAM Admission Entrance Exam (AAEE)

  • Admission to ADAM course will be through All India ADAM Admission Entrance Examination (A AEE). G B Pant Institute of Technology shall be functioning as nodal agency as well as the main exam centre for conducting All India ADAM Admission Entrance Exam(AAEE)
  • The AAE Examination is to be held in Delhi. However, exam centres other than Delhi may be considered, if required. The same will be made available on http:// gbpit-amrc.ac.in web portal
  • Final allotment of examination centre to a candidate will be decided by G B Pant Institute of Technology. Request for change of examination centre will not be entertained on any account

Fee Details

  • Exam Fee for AAEE, is Rs.500/- (Rupees Five Hundred Only), which is to be paid online to Automotive Mechatronics Research Centre – AMRC account No.37652460699 IFSC: SBIN0000727
  • The examination fee is US $. 10 for other than Indian nationals

Course Fee / Fees Payable

  • The ADAM course fee is Rs. 95,000/- INR. For Indian nationals the fee is payable in two (02) installments. The first installment of Rs.50000/- is to be paid at the time of counselling / admission
  • The second and final installment of Rs. 45,000/- is to be paid after 3 months from commencement of course
  • US $ 1400 for international candidates

Scholarship Details

  • Mercedes-Benz, India offers scholarship to one girl / lady candidate and two economically backward candidates who secure admission to the course
  1. Structure of Scholarship: The Scholarship amount per student will be Rs. 1, 50,000/-. This amount is towards: ADAM Course Fees; Hostel Accommodation Charges (Annual); Other Expenses (e.g. Uniform, Books etc.)
  2. Number of Scholarships: Scholarship for low economic back ground Under this scheme, 2 eligible students (male/female student) based on their family income and merit shall be entitled for the scholarship
  3. Scholarship for Female Student: Under this scheme, 1 female student based on merit & irrespective of her family income shall be entitled for the scholarship
  4. Eligibility of Candidates for availing Scholarship: The family income of the student should not exceed Rs.2, 00,000/- per annum. In case more students fulfillth is criterion then the candidate with lowest family income shall be considered for this scholarship
  5. If there is a tie between students based on the first criteria then the student with the highest score in ADAM entrance exam shall be eligible for availing the Scholarship

Seat Allocation

  • The annual batch size / intake capacity is 20 students. Five seats shall be reserved for MBIL dealer nominees, sponsored and approved by MBIL. Remaining seats shall be open for the candidates based on merit in the entrance exam
  • Passing of entrance exam shall be mandatory for all categories (both sponsored & non-sponsored)of candidates. Common merit list will be prepared on the basis of entrance exam

Reservation

  • Reservation criteria as per the approved govt. policy will be adopted for Non-sponsored seats. However, in case qualified candidates are not available for admission in any reserved category, the seats will be de-reserved as per reservation policy of Govt. ofNCT of Delhi
  • The reservations in various categories shall be as follows:
  1. SC Category: 15% seats of non-sponsored seats /intake for fresh admission are reserved for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste
  2. ST Category: 7.5% seats of non-sponsored seats / intake for fresh admission are reserved for candidate belonging to Scheduled Tribe
  3. OBC Category: 27% seats of non-sponsored seats/intake for fresh admission are reserved for OBC candidates belonging to NONCREAMY LAYER

AAEE Application Form

  • Candidates are advised to read information bulletin carefully and acquaint themselves with all requirements before filling up application form
  • The application form can be downloaded from http://www.gbpit-amrc.ac.in from20th April 2018
  • No column in the application form should be left blank. If any column is not applicable, write N.A. in the respective column. Application form should be clearly, legibly filled with black ball point pen or neatly typed. The signature of the candidate should be made with BLACK BALL POINT PEN ONLY
  • Candidates have to send a single clear PDF file, containing duly filled in & signed application form along with proof of examination fee paid (online) & any one of the valid Photo Id proof (issued by Government of India viz. Passport, PAN card, Aadhar Card, Driving License, EPIC / voter identity card), BEFORE LAST / CLOSING DATE( 22nd May 2018 ) OF RECEIPT OF APPLICATION FORM to the e-mail ID aaee@gbpitamrc.ac.in
  • However, note that the last date for payment of exam fee online is 21st May 2018Application forms sent by post / courier / by hand / special messenger or any other mode will NOT BE ACCEPTED
  • Pay Exam Fee of Rs.500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) online to Automotive Mechatronics Research Centre- AMRC account number37652460699 IFSC: SBIN0000727. Take print out of the ‘details of transaction /fee submission’ or save the transaction details
  • Note down the transaction identity or reference number of transaction (to be filled at column No.4 “FEEDETAILS” in the application form)

Admit Card

  • Candidates are required to carry the same identity proof, IN ORIGINAL, which has been scanned and sent through e-mail, along with application form &proof of exam fee paid
  • The list of eligible candidates for appearing AAEE will be displayed in the website of AMRC / ADAM i.e http://www.gbpit-amrc.ac.in, after closing date of receipt of application form. Only such eligible candidates who are allotted with enrolment/roll number (as published on the GBPIT & AMRC/ADAM website) will be eligible for appearing in ADAM Admission Entrance Exam2018(AAEE – 2018)
  • No separate admit card / hall ticket will be issued

  • Last Date of Submission of Application Form (through e-mail): 22nd May 2018
  • Display of list of eligible candidates for appearing in AAEE-2018: 23rd May 2018
  • Date of Examination: 10th June 2018
  • Duration of Examination (90 Minutes): 10:00AM to 11:30AM
  • Declaration of Merit List: 25th June 2018
  • Admission / Counselling: 02nd July 2018
