CBIP announces admission for PG Diploma Courses 2014

Central Board of irrigation and Power, New Delhi announces admission for Post Graduate Diploma and Post Graduate Diploma in Transmission and Distribution System for 2014 session. The objective of the course is to develop groomed manpower for the power sector having high skill and confidence in running a EHV substation as well as Distribution equipments. After completion of the course the students would be readily available working engineers in Indian Power Sector for taking over the charge of Operation and Management of T & D sectors

After completion of the course the students will acquire extensive basic and advanced knowledge of

  • Operation and Maintenance of Transmission and Distribution accessories
  • Necessary Safety aspects required in T & D
  • Details of associated equipments
  • T & D project management
  • Process flow
  • Electrical and IT Application in T & D
  • T & D schemes

Eligibility criteria for CBIP:

For Non-Sponsored candidates: Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent in Electrical Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) with minimum 605 marks in various examinations from 10th onwards.

For sponsored candidates:

Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent in Electrical Engineering and Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) with minimum 60% marks

One year experience in the relevant field

Selection procedure:

The students will be shortlisted based on the merit of the marks obtained by the candidates in class 10th, 12th, & Engineering degree and merit wise list of the eligible candidates will be declare in CBIP web site.

Admission shall be subject to strict verification of all the original testimonials / documents and deposing of the required fees.

Age Limit: Maximum 27 years for non-sponsored candidates as on 21st April, 2014

No Age limit for sponsored candidates

Total Seats: 60 seats (Provisional), 25% seats reserved for the candidates sponsored from Power Utilities and reputed companies of Indian Power Sector having more than one year experience.

No. of seats may vary.

In case of non-availability of sponsored candidates, the seats under this category shall be available for non-sponsored candidates.

The downloaded hard copy of the application form along with the demand draft of Rs 300/- (Revised) in favour of CBIP payable at New Delhi, should reach the Secretary, CBIP, latest by 30th March, 2014 with one passport size photographs.

Candidates are advised to go through the brochure thoroughly before the form.
