Eligibility Criteria

  • Stream BAG – Pass in aggregate.
  • Bengali (H) – Candidates belonging to GENERAL/OBC must have obtained a minimum 50% in aggregate and 45% in subject/related subject. However, candidates belonging to SC/ST must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate and 40% in subject/related subject. Subject/Related Subject: BENGALI/ BENGALI A/ BENGALI B
  • Education (H) –Candidates belonging to GENERAL/OBC must have obtained a minimum 50% in aggregate and 45% in subject/related subject. Application Process

  • The Application Form for admission to B.A. /B.Sc. Courses (2018-19) can be filled online at basantidevicollege.edu.in
  • After successfully filling up the form candidates are required to submit the application fees through Online payment (through online admission portal) or generate an Offline bank challan to be payable at ‘Golpark’ branch of Axis Bank
  • Forms for General Course will be provided to the students who have secured pass marks in all subjects[SC/ST/OBC-A, B certificate must be produced at the time of admission]
  • Candidates passing from CBSE through PATRACHAR VIDYALAYA are NOT eligible to seek admission to the Degree Course under the University of Calcutta
  • For taking ‘Elective English’, candidates must secure 45% marks in the subject

Payment Process

  • Application Fees per Subject: Rs.350/-. Fees can be paid online using Debit/Credit Card / Net-banking/ Upay etc

For Offline Payment

  • Candidates should print deposit slip using SBI Collect [link is given in college website]
  • All applicants must be sure that they fulfill all rules and regulations of University of Calcutta and BASANTI DEVI COLLEGE regarding admission to undergraduate classes. If at any stage it is found that an applicant does not fulfill any of the rules and regulations of University of Calcutta and BASANTI DEVI COLLEGE, then his/her admission will be deemed to be void as initio
  • Mere online acceptance of the admission form does not mean that all rules and regulations of Calcutta University & Banagabasi College regarding under graduate admission are fulfilled by the applicant
