Admission to GNM Course 2013-14

Name of Course: General Nursing and Midwifery: 3 years and 6 months diploma course (for girls only)

No. of Seats: 40

Eligibility: As per INC’s Circular no 1-6/2012-INC date 29th April, 2013

ANM Programme: The Minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December, 2013 of the year in which admission is sought

The minimum educational requirements shall be 10+2 in Arts (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Economics, Political, Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology and Philosophy and English Elective or Science or Health care Science – Vocational stream only, passing out from recognized board

Student shall be medically fit/students qualified in 10+2 arts or sciences exam conducted by National Institute of Open School

GNM Programme: Minimum and Maximum age for admission will be 17 and 35 years

There is no age bar for ANG/LHV

Minimum education/10+2 class Passed Preferably Science (PCB) and English with aggregate of 40% marks

10+2 in Arts (Mathematics, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy) and English Core/English Elective or Health care Science-Vocational stream only, passing out from recognized Board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board

10+2 vocational ANM under CBSE Board or other equivalent board from the school and recognized by Indian Nursing Council

B.Sc. (Nursing) Programme:  The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought

10+2 class Passed Preferably Science (PCB) and English with aggregate of 45% marks

10+2 passed out from recognized board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board

Students appearing in 10+2 exam in Science conduct by National Institute of Open School

Student shall be admitted once in a year

Reservation: Reservation of seats shall be as per Punjab Govt. rules

Preference will be given to the candidates who are residents of Punjab

Fee Structure:

Tuition fee: Rs. 9000/-

Admission fee: Rs. 1000/-

These charges are provisional and are subject to revision by the Punjab Govt./BFUHS, Fdk from time to time

In addition to the above Rs. 1500/- per annum will be charged as transportation charges

Application Form:

Complete applications with attested copies of all requisite certificates and demand draft worth Rs.300/- (Rs. 150/- for SC/ST categories only) drawn in favour of Principal, Institute of Nursing, University Regional Centre, Goindwal Sahib, Tarn Taran must reach in the office of the Principal, University College of Nursing, Faridkot (Punjab) till 26th September 2013 by 5.00 p.m

By hand or through Registered Post) Application received after the due date & time for any reason will not be considered

Counselling will be held on 28th September, 2013 from 10.00 am onwards in the office of Principal, University College of Nursing, Faridkot

No separate call letters will be issued for the counselling
